Random pasture fun!

Yesterday, I went to where Jordan and I's horses are. Well one of mine and his three. Liberty , Spider and Cowboy were out so I grabbed the halters and put them away. I went back for my camera and spent maybe a half hour with them and managed to take 183 pictures!! Yikes!! Only a handful didn't turn out and some of cowboy have his yoda ears but that's just him. So here are a few!

Sunflowers!! 2014!

You all know how much I love taking pictures of sunflowers! I love how pretty and creepy they can be at the same time! I tried to get a little more texture in some of these pictures than before! How You like the changes from last year!

Here ya go!!

Best friend human and horse photo session!

This girl has been one of my best friends since early teens. We've shown horses together, grown up together and been through so much together that when I asked her to do this I knew that this session would mean the world to me! Erin had also asked me to do a project that would involve her momma, so I was even more excited to do this!
This session had us in stitches and couldn't have asked for a more fun time together involving a horse and a camera!
Enjoy!!

First ever human and horse session!!

I had asked a few girlfriends that were involved with horses to do a human and horse session. All three were very excited about it and on August long I was able to complete my first one.
After some adjusting to the horse, we were in the road to capturing incredibly nautilus photos!
Here are a few! Enjoy!

Spring Newborn Session!

I thought I was excited to capture the beauty in my 'siblings' maternity session but I could never prepare myself for the feeling that it would be to take pictures of their brand new baby girl, Lacey June.
I've never done anything like this before. I tried to prepare myself for this moment by reading all about newborn photography and to try and get as many tips and tricks that I could BUT not everything always works as planned or as you would hope.
Nikki was an excellent assistant and was patient with me and her baby girl as Lacey did NOT want to sleep while we were doing these pictures. After much comforting, feeding and persistence, we were able to get her to calm down. Even daddy Kevin helped us and he did help us quite a bit when it came to the saddle pictures. This experience is something I can't really describe. I loved it and it tired me out completely but I hope it was all worth it when people see these images of this absolutely beautiful little girl. Major props to my fellow photographers and my photographer friends who take pictures of newborns on a regular basis, it certainly is exhausting!

So here she is, Miss Lacey June.
